As 2017 rolls on, I wanted to share with you some nugget of wisdom that would put everything into perspective and help catapult you into the coming months with confidence, hope, and clarity. But just what are those magic words?!

2017 is going to be an incredible year. This stage of humanity’s evolution requires that people like you and I work more honestly than ever on ourselves and the world around us to continue preparing for further awakening.

This is a period of extreme transformation. You may be feeling the change on a global scale or very personally. Don’t be discouraged if you hit a road block every now and then. Evolution, like any creative process, often involves a series of fits and starts, so don’t lose hope during the ‘off’ times.

Remember to appreciate how far you’ve come, take solace in the small victories, and spend time appreciating moments you share with friends, family, lovers, and strangers.

I’d like to share an experience I had during a long flight delay, returning to the west coast from Chicago. I sat on the airplane next to an older gentleman, and he and I ended up talking the entire night as we waited on the runway, transferred aircraft, and eventually shared four hours in flight. The time I spent with this man moved me deeply, and I wrote this letter about my experience, to share a part of it with you…

Dear Grandpa-like Italian Man,

Thank you for telling me the story about the cat you and your wife accidentally buried alive due to an inexperienced vet. If it hadn’t been for the cat’s extreme meowing at 2 a.m., the poor thing would have remained underground indefinitely. And thank you for the story about the 10,000 year old glacier that you ate a piece of on a trip to Alaska with your son. Before you took the bite, you wondered if you’d die due to a 10,000 year old frozen parasite…but then you ate the glacier anyway. Thank you for turning the light off when I attempted to sleep, and thank you for surprising me with dinner when I woke up (a tray of cheese, crackers, and fruit because according to your intuition, I didn’t “seem like a beef sandwich and potato chips kind of a girl.”) People like you are inspiring. You make us smile. You keep the hope alive, and I wish there were more of you in the world.

What I want for myself the remainder of this year are the same things I want for you:

*To remain as good-spirited as the Italian Grandpa on the airplane

*To always remain grateful along your journey

*The fearlessness to follow your dreams

Remember: Do not allow your life to become anything other than the greatest vision you ever had about what it could be. Be who you are meant to be. Be yourself in 2017. In living those words is where the real magic happens. I wish you the very best!
